the curse of Vanity Fair.

Today, Gawker weighs in on the infamous Hollywood Vanity Fair curse. How if you get put on the cover of the March annual it-girl/guy parade, then you are either going to be huge (or already are) or are doomed for miserable failure. I found the gallery of Annie L’s covers for these issues to be fascinating and beautiful, she really is a great photographer. What was interesting that I noticed is that the covers (which all extend to an interior page) feature the *most* famous people on the left (which is the actual cover) and the rest are banished to inside the fold as people open the cover. Perhaps that is Graydon’s strategy? On a side note: I really wish I could have been on this shoot. So many handsome men.
