Peter Jackson is in charge of bringing to life one of my favorite books, Alice Sebold's The Lovely Bones. I already don't know how I feel about that ( I am NOT a Lord of the Rings Fan, duh...) and I am really scared this movie could get totally f-d like White Oleander or One True Thing or Shopgirl (yes Steve Martin f-ed his own adaptation).
Anyhow, Ryan Gosling was set to star as the main character's dad (main character is dead, story is from her perspective) and apparently Jackson (who is like one of the top 5 fatties in Hollywood) has kicked him to the curb because he is too fat in favor of Wahlberg.
We all know Marky Mark only does well in ensembles (Shooter versus the Departed, get my drift?) and this one has Susan Sarandon, Rachel Weisz (love her!), and Michael Imperioli (as the rapist----moment of laughter here, so fitting! hahahahahhahahhahahahahaha) so maybe he will pull it off.
For now, I am going to mourn Gosling.
