daily 5 :: friendship, beginnings, endings
daily 5 ::
1. I don't really know if I am a 'good' person in the sense of the all encompassing word 'good.' Tonight I picked a fight for no reason and I have no reason why.
2. It is hard to imagine pulling an LC and actually saying to someone "I forgive you now I'm going to forget you" I wonder if I have that in me?
3. It is really hard to know when to stay and when to go
4. Beginnings are really tough.
5. Endings usually suck ass.

daily5 :: burgers, sliders, disappointment
1. High school reunions are interesting. This entire time I've been thinking that if I graduated in 1999 then my 10 year would be in 2009. I was told last night it is in 2008. Still pondering this one. Hmmmm.
2. It is so crazy to think about things that were so detrimental to me as a teenager and how irrelevant they are now. I think that holds true for everything in life--once you can step away from it and become detached you realize perhaps it isn't what you think it is.
3. I have come to believe that no matter what people will always disappoint you, that is just what they do.
4. I really love the meatball sliders at The Little Owl.
5. I think I might love the hambuger at Lure Fishbar even more.

daily5 :: todd english, redbull, fred claus
Daily5 11.05.07
1. The word is that Todd English is opening a new place in the Financial District. He's so great. I gush when I think about him. If only he didn't strictly date Asian girls...I'd be on it like white on...hmmm..yeah.
2. You're going to be older much longer than you're going to be younger.
3. "Put that up your pipe and smoke it" has to be like the worst expression, ever.
4. I am currently watching a bootleg version of Fred Claus and drinking a redbull at 11 p.m. What is wrong with me?
5. The writers are striking...and for once I agree with the principal behind it. Strikes are often such a manifestation of personal agendas. Not this time.

My daily5 for today.
1. I've realized that about all major principles in life, I mostly agree with my mother.
2. I'm celebrating Aleeza's birthday today, she'll be gone for it next week. I think I am more of a present giver than receiver, although the giving at times can make me nervous.
3. I woke up so early today and totally forgot about the time change. Boo for that.
4. Fred Claus looks like a totally cheesy totally funny movie. I think I shall see it.
5. We're going to a raw restaurant tonight for A's birthday---should be interesting =)

daily5 :: chihuahuas, routines, cold weather
The daily5 coming at you...
1. It is finally cold here. I thought I hated it and I am sure I will in a month but for now, it feels good. I think that I am starting to love cold weather more than I ever thought I would. Gotta love transitions :)
2. My chihuahua has a crush on a boxer I think. There's one in our neighborhood and she gets so excited when we keep running into him. Do you think chihuahuas can be in love?
3. I am so sick of Lindsay Lohan. And her boyfriend is just---ewe.
4. There is nothing better than a warm bed on a cold night.
5. I have a Saturday routine of alone time and I am starting to realize how much I appreciate those few moments of solitude.

daily5 :: dan golden, crazy shit, periods

I am going to peace out of work early today if all goes as planned, so this is coming at you a bit early...yep, again. Invisibles :)
1. Dan golden rugs are the best. Their LA party was amazing. Check it out on Glitterati.
2. I really, really hate having my period. Totally inappropriate to say but it must be said. I want my tubes tied.
3. I think that whenever someone [aka a man] likes me it makes me like them less and when they don't like me, I like them more. It's like a permanent opposite day or perhaps just total immaturity.
4. I'm really worried about Amy Winehouse, I've been thinking about it all day. I don't want her to have a tragic ending a la Elvis.
5. I am thinking about getting breast implants when I get my holiday bonus.

daily5 :: reunions, rebels, relationships
daily5
work day is almost over and it is almost friday, yippee!
1. I am going to go to an Asheville School reunion of sorts next week. It is just a happy hour..but it will mark the *first* time I have done anything school related besides donate since I left.
2. I am really scared about this reunion. I've always felt that perhaps I wasn't as good enough as my high school peers [I was never anything enough: smart, pretty, rich...it's all relative, right?]
3. I spoke to my favorite Rebel today. He always makes me smile. Is it possible to have such a close respect and friendship with a person that you have only seen on 3 occasions in your life?
4. I am so confused about so many relationships in my life.
5. I am starting to think that if you question whether or not he is really into you, he probably isn't. For sure.

daily5 :: co-workers, wino + britney (of course!)
Coming at you again a little bit early, yo.
Gotta celebrate Halloween ya'll as my neighborhood is slammed with BBQs I am going to hopefully escape inside the Waverly Inn tonight for my regular Waverly Wednesday. I wish I could trick or treat.
So my daily 5 for today are.
1. I am really starting to think I have shed my commitment issues. It has been 1 year + in NYC and I am not slightly nervous or itching to leave. Yeah!
2. Gawker has a sighting of Amy Winehouse today. Hmmmm...Sorry liars, she's in Berlin. Who do you trust, TMZ or your random reader? I'm gonna have to side with TMZ. Which has me thinking--who are these idiots who submit sightings to Gawker? Oh...right. I did.
3. My best work friend is throwing up the deuce to go back to school. This makes me realize how lonely work will be without her. Boo.
4. I am really getting annoyed with all of these losers who keep opening up retail shops on Bleecker [ Coach Legacy, Hilfiger, Steven] leave us alone!
5. Early projections show that Britney will sell over 300k copies of her album and be #1 in the U.S. Ummmm, I told you so! Go Brit!

daily5 :: divorces, britney, cakes ! oh my!

My daily5, comin' at you slightly early today.
1. Britney's cd rocks. Of course this had to be #1. I will always be a fan, no matter what you haters say.
2. I think cell phone companies are evil. I changed my plan, they cut off my voicemail. It took me 2 hours and 45 minutes and four Sprint PCS specialists to get it resolved.
3. They are putting a flipping fatburger in my neighborhood. Thanks, Pharrell. Ewe. Another reason for my campaign to move the path train out of the west village.
4. I learned what an aggregator is today.
5. Today Gawker had some tidbit about how Divorce is the New Marriage. Duh. I think all of the married men I have met since living here are on the road to this party. Perhaps this should be my new business venture...
daily5 :: copperfield + banksy

Daily 5: 10. 29.07
1. I really love Banksy. Everytime I keep thinking about an artist I like more, I just can't think of one. Maybe Degas with his ballerinas or Mary Cassett...but overall, Banksy is for this culture what Shepherd Fairey wishes he could have been. He inspires me.
2. I really think men are confusing. They either like you too much, don't like you enough, or play so many games that you can't figure out where everything stands. *sigh* Perhaps I am the confusing one?
3. Mobile phone companies suck. Sprint PCS sucks more than the rest. If you have Sprint, switch.
4. Leave David Copperfield alone! Should I make a video, damnit?
5. When in Rome...

daily5 :: the inauguration
I was so inspired [and have been thinking and rereading and thinking and thinking] so much since I did that whole stream of consciousness thing that I figured I would start up posting [one hundred percent for myself, obviously I know that I have no readers] my daily 5 random thoughts.
I am trying to become more introspective and it has been REALLY helpful for me to read through what I wrote in my 100 ramblings. I think 100 might be much per day :) So this seems like a good place to start.
We'll see how it goes, you know how I am with commitment :)
inaugural daily5:
1. Men will always find a way to disappoint you and their disappointment will always manifest into an increased interest even if it wasn't initially warranted.
2. Boston is a great city. But it really shines in Cambridge, Alston, Beacon Hill, Brighton. The downtown in general just blows.
3. There are only so many Dunkin Donuts that will prevail. Right now it is total over saturation.
4. I left so many songs off of my favorite for all-time, it has really been bothering me. I'm going to try to list them all at some point in these daily5's. I'd hate to not give em a shout out.
5. Rascal Flatt's "I'm Movin' On.
See you tomorrow.
