Criss Angel, 39, admitted to boning Cameron Diaz and then proceeded to say that Britney was the reason why her VMA performance wasn't the spectacular Mindfreakish show we were hoping for.
A little frustrating, Britney.
This is how it went down when Criss visited Larry King on Tuesday [sorry this is slow guys my DVR list is like a mile long]
In response to King's question: "Were you embarrassed for her?" re: the VMA Gimme More performance.
Angel's response:
"I understand what she goes through in her life – she lives under a microscope, and it's unbelievable to see – it's difficult to watch," said Angel.
"I really feel for her, I want the best for her, I want her to feel complete, and if she's happy with her performance I guess that's what matters," he said.
As for how he became involved with Brit, Angel explained, "I was asked by my manager, who was also managing her career for a short time, to help put something together."
As far as how it ultimately transpired, "Everybody loved what we came up with, but it required a tremendous amount of work and dedication that Britney decided to not want to put forth and do something that she felt would be better suited for her," Angel said.
*sigh* Memo to Britney: sometimes you make it hard to be a fan.
