The New York Times continues their coverage of the demise of Jessica Seinfeld [wife of Jerry] as she is trying to swim above seas of plagiarism, adultery, and just bad behavior.
"There are three things people think they know about Jessica Seinfeld, the semipublic wife of the popular comedian," writes Allen Salkin, NYT writer.
The three things are:
- A) she met Jerry at the Reebok gym shortly after marrying a semi-rich dude
- B) she was accused of plagiarism
- C) she thanked Oprah for a recent appearance with 21 pairs of designer shoes.
In order to dispel these 'myths,' Jessica is now consenting to be interviewed. Some highlights from the interview:
"I understand that there's nothing more satisfying to a journalist than to take someone like me who appears to have had an easy life and appears to have now hit the jackpot," she tells Salkin.
"Journalists get a lot of pleasure making me or someone in a situation like mine seem like god-awful people," Jessica continues.
In response to how she lied to journalists about her relationship with Seinfeld when she was stil married, she says: "I had never been in a gossip column before, and I was completely unprepared for what was about to happen. I was a 26-year-old trying to gracefully correct a mistake in judgment."
I'm 26, too! Life is not fair. This girl is smart enough to bag two rich men, why can't she be smart enough to stay out of this drama? If it was me, I would be keeping my nose clean :)
She is a total no ma'am.
