Village Voice calls Sufjan Stevens on his BQE b.s.

I'm sure half of the hipsters in Brooklyn are about to have a heart attack but I think that the Village Voice got it right with Rob Harvilla's review of Sufjan Stevens annoying symphony about the BQE.

It is clear that at this point it isn't about the art, it is about Stevens self indulgent need to just try to do something soooo creative that in his attempts to be so unique he ends up losing focus and creating a ton of bullshit.

This is the same guy who said he was going to churn out albums about all 50 states, one each. So far he's done 4. Instead of tackling the BQE perhaps he should've gotten to work on the 46 other albums.

I used to really love him, now I have realized he loves himself enough for both of us.
